Georgetown Public Policy Institute

Application Information

For Fall admission, the deadline for international students is January 8. For domestic (USA) applicants, the deadline for the MPP-FT is February 1 and the deadline for the MPP-EP is March 1. All application materials including GRE scores, must be received by the deadline. You are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible in the admissions cycle, especially if you are seeking a scholarship awarded by the Georgetown Public Policy Institute.

All components of the application must be received by the application deadline. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. The online application fee is $75.00. (Application fee waivers are not granted). Thus to avoid potential delays in processing your application, all the necessary application materials should be submitted with the application. However, if some materials, such as letters of recommendation, are delayed, you should not jeopardize the receipt of your application by the deadline. Send the application and follow up with any missing credentials as soon as possible. A photocopy of the GRE scores and TOEFL results (if required) should be submitted with the application. This will permit review of the application until official scores are received.

The Georgetown University GRE code is 5244 and the TOEFL code is 5335.

Fall applicants should expect a decision letter in late February or early March. Please note that the Office of Admissions does not give decisions over the telephone. If you have not received your letter by early March, please contact the Office of Admissions, and another copy of the decision letter will be sent. Please note also that due to the heavy volume of mail and telephone calls during the admissions season, the GPPI Admissions staff cannot respond to application status inquiries. You will be notified by mail or e-mail concerning whether your application is complete or certain items are still outstanding.
