GPPI offers an exchange program with the  Berlin-based Hertie School of Governance. Students in the two schools’ MPP programs spend their third semester at the other institution. This partnership offers GPPI students new opportunities for in-depth study in areas such as economic integration and comparative approaches to labor market, social, and environmental policy. The first group of Hertie School students arrived at GPPI for the Fall 2006 semester, and the first GPPI students will go to Berlin in Fall 2007. GPPI and the Hertie School also plan to offer at least one joint course in Spring 2007 via internet video link. Students from both schools will enroll in the course and be able to participate in class discussions in real time, as well as work in trans- Atlantic project teams.
