Degree Requirements

The Master of Public Policy (MPP) is a 48 credit degree program. The curriculum is divided into core (required) courses and elective courses. The core curriculum of the program provides the basic skills and knowledge essential for problem-solving through the development of analytical skills and the capabilities to manage sound policy over a spectrum of public issues. The core courses are divided into three components: 1) political institutions and process, 2) economics, and 3) methods of analysis, including an original quantitative project structured in the thesis workshop course.

Students in the full time program complete the MPP in two years.  Students in the evening program can complete the MPP in three years (including both summers).
