MPP-EP Sample Curriculum

The MPP - Evening Program (MPP-EP) is designed to be completed in three years.  This requires students to enroll in two classes each semester (fall and spring) and two classes each summer.    


Suggested Sequence of Classes:

First Year

Fall semester
PPOL501: Introduction to Microtheory (3 credits)
PPOL508: Statistical Methods for Policy Analysis (3 credits)

Spring semester
PPOL509: Regression Methods for Policy Analysis (3 credits)
Track course or elective (3 credits)

Summer
PPOL503: Public Finance (3 credits)
PPOL580: Public Management (3 credits)

Second Year

Fall semester
PPOL517: Policy Process or PPOL519: Comparative Policy Process (3 credits)
Track course or elective (3 credits)

Spring semester
Track course or elective (3 credits) (PPOL502: Macroeconomics for students in IPD track)
Track course or elective (3 credits)

Summer
PPOL512: Advanced Regression & Program Evaluation Methods (3 credits)
PPOL560: Ethics, Values & Public Policy (3 credits)

Third Year

PPOL700: Thesis Workshop I (3 credits)
